The 1st FNNF- Integration Festival took place in the summer of 2021, on 24.8. near the Edersee on a warm summer evening.
Refugees from Syria, Iraq and Eretrea came together at the invitation of our foundation and our integration officer.
There were – with German friends and acquaintances – about 30 adults and children, coming for the first time from different cultural circles, who got together that evening for an evening of getting to know each other: with music, dance, good food, many conversations, stimulating encounters and also a tour of the farm and to end the day a fire.
All this in a heartwarming “convivial” atmosphere, in a peaceful mood that gives hope that the so important steps of integration for our friends from the mentioned countries can now be made together, and there is much that unites us.
Thus, our motto “Support in the New” should encourage us to continue on this path in the spirit of “Unity in Diversity”: we are grateful for this successful evening, which stimulates us to discover more and more, with this accompaniment, who we-as a collective- want to be and become in these times of transformation.
