This year’s FNNF Foundation meeting took place from 01.-06.10.2023 in Vale d’agua/Portugal. The approach to the Vale and our first tour of the burnt area left a deep impression on us. We were very shocked by the extent of the damage caused by the fire disaster in August of this year. In the meantime, two families who lost their homes have found refuge in the village row (“Valdeia”), which miraculously remained intact with the House of Consciousness.
In our meetings, we decided as a foundation to prioritize financial support for the renaturation of the wounded landscape in the Vale d’Agua. To this end, the permaculture engineer Eduardo Terzidis is drawing up a master plan for the conservation and reforestation of the Vale, which will involve all the settlers. In this context, we as a foundation have terminated the contract for the use of the village garden as an “ecological learning garden” in favor of this comprehensive renaturation project.
Another focus of our foundation’s work is the promotion of awareness culture in Germany through our regional points and their networking. The aim of the regional groups is to promote research into We-Space awareness and to communicate it to interested people. In this context, our foundation’s focus is based on three key active forces:
Being – being and self-realization; Becoming – joint co-creative action and work for the benefit of all people and for our Mother Earth and thus also Belonging – the development of a culture of connectedness and belonging. At this meeting in particular, the concept of “home” was very present in the face of the loss of home and the devastated earth.
Unlike in the past, this time we found a wonderful place to hold our meetings at the Reguengo Landhotel. And once again, these days made us appreciate and appreciate our convivial togetherness in the Foundation. It has clearly promoted, strengthened and deepened the coherence of our foundation WE. In this context, we have decided that we will meet here again next year to “assess” the progress of the support measures and to see whether and, if so, what further resources we want to make available.
